You can customize your Android device the way you want it. Android has much room for customization than any other operating system. Similarly you can also personalize your phone's home screen easily with the help of a launcher app. There are many launcher apps available on the Android market. I've tested and compiled a list of worthy launcher apps which give you the best results.
Launcher Pro :
Launcher Pro is the default launcher on my phone. Launcher Pro is super light on memory and lightning fast. It has a clean look, you can add up to 7 home screens, super smooth scrolling and an app drawer (both 2D and 3D) with fly-in effect. If you're using an old/slow phone you must go with Launcher Pro because it is really snappy.
If you enable the 3D drawer it looks as if the icons are being rotated around a cube. You can also choose from a number of different effects and the number of columns to be displayed in the portrait and landscape modes.
Go Launcher EX :
Go Launcher EX is the most popular launcher on the Android market. This launcher app is a perfect replacement for your default home launcher if you're a power user because it offers tons of customization and personalization options. You can choose from a wide variety of themes available on the market specifically for the Go Launcher EX.
You can also download GoWidgets made for this launcher like the GO TaskManager Widget, GO Locker, GO Launcher EX Notification etc. If you're bored with the same icons of apps you can change icons of apps and games with themes. Choose from various screen scrolling effects like (Bounce, Bulldoze, Cube, Flip, Roll, Wave and Windmill).
ADW.Launcher:
ADW Launcher is a universal home replacement app for your Android device. The app allows you to add up to 7 home screens, configure your App drawer animation effects and also the number of rows and columns to display. You can customize the launcher according to your needs.
Launcher 7:
Launcher 7 is a Windows phone 7 style launcher for Android devices. This cool launcher application allows you to customize your start screen like the metro UI on Windows Phone 7 and arrange tiles accordingly. The app simulates the minimalistic WP7 UI on your Android, you can change the color of tiles or lock them. The only thing which I disliked in the app is the ads which come with the free version, however you can choose to upgrade to the donate version and completely remove ads.
