Broken Shortcuts are often found after you uninstall a program or delete some file from your system. The Windows server 2003 resource kit has an useful utility in it called Chklnks.exe, which can help you clean all broken shortcuts from your system. You do not need to install the program for it to work, its portable. The program scans your system for Broken shortcuts and will then display a list of broken shortcuts in your system and then give you the option to select and delete all the shortcuts from your system in one shot.
